For this Audi Q2 adaptation, we successfully installed the Overing accelerator by Guidosimplex along with a push-brake with hold mechanism.
A key consideration for this installation was the vehicle's electronic architecture. Due to the restricted access to the steering wheel switchgear common in many modern Audi (and other VW Group) vehicles, we utilized a TR-One wireless interface. This technology was essential to enable the Overing system to function as a wireless acceleration ring.
Going forward, most modern VW Group vehicles will require the fitting of a wireless ring interface for this specific type of adaptation. This is a standard and effective procedure that ensures seamless functionality without compromising the vehicle's original steering column electronics.
