The overview

Understand the adaptation

Changing your vehicle but want to keep your existing 40kg 2-Way boot hoist? Our transfer service takes care of everything. We will use your existing hoist arm and supply a complete new fitting kit tailored to your new vehicle, including all labour and installation equipment required.

This service is priced at £765 for private customers and includes the full fitting kit and professional installation. Please note that while the fitting and kit are covered, your existing hoist will not be included under our warranty. For Motability customers, please check the current customer contribution in the Motability order reference on this page. Transfers are subject to scheme eligibility and the condition of your existing hoist.

Our skilled engineers will safely remove your hoist, check it is in full working condition, and install it into your new vehicle with all necessary mounting hardware and wiring. Your hoist must be in working order for the transfer to go ahead.

The right fit

Who is it suitable for?

Suitable for customers changing vehicles who already own a working 40kg 2-Way boot hoist. Your existing hoist must be in good working order.

Fitting & coverage

Why prices are quoted for your vehicle

Modern cars differ a lot — steering systems, electronics, airbags, dashboards and mounting points. What fits one model may need different parts, programming or labour on another. The figures on this page are a starting point for supplied & fitted work; we confirm a firm price once we know your make, model and year, and have checked compatibility.

Workshop fitting vs mobile

Most adaptations are fitted at our Heathrow or Ferndown workshops, where we have the tools, lifts and diagnostic equipment to do the job properly. Some simpler fittings can still be done at your home or a dealership when the product and vehicle allow — we'll say so when we quote. We never force a mobile fit where workshop conditions are safer or required by the manufacturer.

Area we cover

We focus on local service from our two workshops — roughly within about 30 miles of Heathrow (West Drayton) and about 60 miles of Ferndown (Wimborne). Collection and return of your vehicle, home visits and mobile work (where suitable) sit inside those bands. Outside the area you can usually still bring the vehicle to us, or ask about options when you request a quote.

“Smooth motor, quiet operation, sturdy lifting arm. Engineered properly. Wish I'd known about this sooner.”
Vernon O.
“Brilliant. Has given me complete independence for shopping trips and family days out. Lifts my powerchair into the boot of my Skoda Karoq in under a minute. Was struggling to do it manually after chronic pain.”
Elizabeth L.
“Reliable. Six months in, no issues. Battery still seems strong. The branding sticker peeled off after a few months — minor cosmetic thing.”
