About this adaptation
Discover unparalleled convenience with the Carolift 40 Boot Hoist, a sophisticated lifting solution designed to effortlessly transport your mobility devices or other heavy items into your vehicle's boot. Engineered for flexibility and ease of use, this semi-automatic hoist integrates seamlessly into almost any car model, making it an indispensable accessory for enhancing your independence and simplifying daily tasks. Say goodbye to the strain of manual lifting and embrace a smoother, more accessible way to travel.
What sets the Carolift 40 apart is its innovative jointed hoist arm. Unlike traditional hoists with fixed arms, this clever design allows you to manoeuvre items through narrow boot openings with precision, and even reach beyond wide bumpers to pick up a wheelchair directly from the pavement. This unique functionality is particularly beneficial for individuals with limited mobility, offering a practical and safe method for loading and unloading, thereby reducing the risk of injury.
Designed with the user in mind, the Carolift 40 offers powered lifting and lowering, complemented by manual rotation for complete control. Its assisted folding mechanism ensures effortless storage when not in use, while the smart mounting base guarantees straightforward installation. Built to last and rigorously tested for EMC and crash safety, this CE-marked hoist provides peace of mind, ensuring durability and reliability for years to come. Please note, a docking device is required and sold separately to lift a wheelchair.
Experience the freedom and ease that the Carolift 40 Boot Hoist brings to your journeys. It's more than just a hoist; it's an investment in your independence, offering a robust and user-friendly solution for managing your mobility needs with confidence and comfort.

Compatibility, fitting & aftercare
Why prices are quoted for your vehicle
Modern cars differ a lot — steering systems, electronics, airbags, dashboards and mounting points. What fits one model may need different parts, programming or labour on another. The figures on this page are a starting point for supplied & fitted work; we confirm a firm price once we know your make, model and year, and have checked compatibility.
Workshop fitting vs mobile
Most adaptations are fitted at our Heathrow or Ferndown workshops, where we have the tools, lifts and diagnostic equipment to do the job properly. Some simpler fittings can still be done at your home or a dealership when the product and vehicle allow — we'll say so when we quote. We never force a mobile fit where workshop conditions are safer or required by the manufacturer.
Area we cover
We focus on local service from our two workshops — roughly within about 30 miles of Heathrow (West Drayton) and about 60 miles of Ferndown (Wimborne). Collection and return of your vehicle, home visits and mobile work (where suitable) sit inside those bands. Outside the area you can usually still bring the vehicle to us, or ask about options when you request a quote.
