About this adaptation
The Swift Lift boot hoist from Des Gosling Mobility is a compact and efficient solution for effortlessly loading mobility devices weighing up to 60 kg into your vehicle's boot. Designed with user convenience in mind, this hoist takes the strain out of lifting, allowing you to enjoy your journeys without hassle. Its innovative design ensures maximum boot space is retained, providing ample room for your mobility scooter or wheelchair alongside other luggage.
A key feature of the Swift Lift is its folding arm, which cleverly prevents any obstruction to your rear-view mirror while driving. This thoughtful design also typically allows for the refitting of a parcel shelf, maintaining the original aesthetics and functionality of your vehicle's boot. The hoist's versatility is further enhanced by its suitability for a wide range of vehicles, including SUVs, hatchbacks, estates, and MPVs, making it a practical choice for many car owners.
Packed with advanced features, the Swift Lift boasts a rattle-free operation, an easy-press handset for intuitive control, and a soft start/stop mechanism for smooth lifting and lowering. Safety is paramount, with overcurrent protection and over-rotation limits built-in. Furthermore, the hoist is designed to have no parasitic battery drain, ensuring your vehicle's battery remains healthy. With various lifting attachments available, the Swift Lift offers endless possibilities for securing different mobility devices, making it a truly adaptable and reliable boot hoist.

Why prices are quoted for your vehicle
Modern cars differ a lot — steering systems, electronics, airbags, dashboards and mounting points. What fits one model may need different parts, programming or labour on another. The figures on this page are a starting point for supplied & fitted work; we confirm a firm price once we know your make, model and year, and have checked compatibility.
Workshop fitting vs mobile
Most adaptations are fitted at our Heathrow or Ferndown workshops, where we have the tools, lifts and diagnostic equipment to do the job properly. Some simpler fittings can still be done at your home or a dealership when the product and vehicle allow — we'll say so when we quote. We never force a mobile fit where workshop conditions are safer or required by the manufacturer.
Area we cover
We focus on local service from our two workshops — roughly within about 30 miles of Heathrow (West Drayton) and about 60 miles of Ferndown (Wimborne). Collection and return of your vehicle, home visits and mobile work (where suitable) sit inside those bands. Outside the area you can usually still bring the vehicle to us, or ask about options when you request a quote.
