Hire terms & conditions
These terms apply to short-term and Flex Hire and form part of the agreement accepted at checkout.
1. The Agreement
This is a hire agreement between Adaptation Station Ltd, trading as Mobility Station ("we", "us"), and the named hirer ("you"). It applies to the equipment described in your booking confirmation for the dates shown. By signing, you agree to be bound by these terms. Short-term hire is a fixed-date booking. Flex Hire is a monthly arrangement with a three-month minimum commitment.
2. Identification, billing address & delivery
For fraud prevention, local deliveries are made to the address you confirm at checkout. If you are collecting in person from one of our branches, or if our local delivery team is bringing the equipment to you, you must present valid photo ID (driving licence or passport) and a recent proof of address (dated within the last 3 months — utility bill, council tax or bank statement) that matches the billing address before equipment is released. We may withhold equipment if these checks cannot be completed. Nationwide courier hire is not offered on this service.
3. Hire fee, Flex billing & refundable deposit
Short-term: the total taken at checkout includes the hire charge, any deliver-and-collect call-out fees, and a refundable security deposit. Flex Hire: you pay the first month’s hire fee and the refundable deposit today; each following month is billed automatically at the same monthly rate. Flex has a three-month minimum; after that there is no tie-in — you may cancel when you are ready if you no longer need the equipment. The deposit is held against loss, theft or damage beyond fair wear and tear and is returned in full within 5 working days of safe equipment return — either to your original card or in person on collection.
4. Flex zone, delivery & servicing
Flex Hire is only available inside our Flex zone: within 10 miles of our Heathrow branch or 20 miles of our Ferndown branch. Inside that zone, delivery, collection and genuine fault / servicing call-outs are included in the monthly fee. Damage from misuse and no-fault call-outs may be charged. Short-term local delivery and collection are charged at our published call-out band for both legs unless you collect and return at a branch.
5. Your responsibilities
You agree to use the equipment safely, only for its intended purpose, and to follow the manufacturer instructions provided. You must not modify the equipment, lend it to a third party, or take it outside of mainland UK without our written consent. You are responsible for charging batteries and keeping the equipment clean and dry.
6. Damage, loss & theft
You are liable for the cost of repair or replacement of damaged, lost or stolen equipment up to its full retail value. Where the deposit does not cover the cost, we will invoice the balance. Any damage must be reported to us within 24 hours.
7. Returns, late returns & Flex ending
Short-term: equipment must be returned by the end-date shown on your booking. Late returns are charged at the daily rate per additional day until the equipment is back in our care. Flex: after the three-month minimum you may end the hire when you are ready (no tie-in); a collection call-out is free inside the Flex zone, or you may return the equipment to the branch. Equipment that is more than 7 days late may be reported as stolen.
8. Cancellation
Short-term: you may cancel up to 48 hours before the start date for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit the first day’s hire fee. Flex: cancellations before the start date follow the same 48-hour rule on the first month’s fee; ending Flex inside the three-month minimum makes the balance of the commitment payable. The deposit is always returned in full on a valid cancellation before the hire starts.
9. Liability
Mobility Station accepts no liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the equipment, except where caused by our negligence or required by law. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

We process your personal information and uploaded documents only to fulfil this hire and to comply with our legal obligations. See our privacy policy on mobilitystation.co.uk for full details. Documents are deleted within 12 months of the hire ending unless required for an active dispute.
