Boot hoist and steering controls fitted to a Toyota Yaris at Heathrow
We fitted a 40kg boot hoist and wireless secondary controls to a Toyota Yaris for a Motability customer at our Heathrow branch.

A Motability customer visited our Heathrow branch needing a dual-adaptation setup for their Toyota Yaris Hybrid. They required a practical solution for loading a manual folding mobility scooter into the boot, alongside accessible vehicle controls to make driving easier and safer.
Our technicians installed an Autochair Smartlifter 40kg 4-way folding boot hoist in the rear luggage area. This compact hoist smoothly lifts the scooter and rotates it inside the vehicle without taking up unnecessary space. To assist with driving, we also fitted a Lodgesons 7-way wireless keypad combined with a steering ball positioned on the left side of the steering wheel.
The wireless keypad gives the driver simple, fingertip access to secondary functions like indicators, headlights, and horn while maintaining full steering control. The completed installation provides an independent driving experience and effortless scooter transportation.
