Boot hoist repair and webbing replacement at Heathrow
We replaced a frayed boot hoist webbing strap and serviced a noisy hoist motor gear assembly at our Heathrow branch.

A customer visited our Heathrow workshop after noticing that their vehicle boot hoist webbing strap had started to fray. They had also reported an unusual grinding noise coming from the hoist motor during operation, suggesting the internal cogs were no longer meshing smoothly.
Our technicians ordered a replacement webbing strap under warranty and booked the vehicle into our workshop for assessment. Upon inspection, we removed the worn strap and safely installed the fresh, high-strength webbing. We then opened the motor casing to investigate the noise, inspecting the cogs and drive mechanism to ensure all teeth aligned correctly and were properly lubricated.
With the new webbing fitted and the motor gear assembly serviced, the boot hoist was thoroughly tested under load. The hoist operated smoothly and silently once again, giving the customer total confidence when loading their mobility equipment.
