Motability Q50R powerchair service at our Heathrow branch

We completed an annual Motability service and replaced a faulty charger on a Quickie Q50R powerchair at our Heathrow branch.

Quickie Q50R powerchair undergoing service at our Heathrow branch

A customer brought their Quickie Q50R folding powerchair into our Heathrow workshop for its scheduled annual Motability service. Alongside the routine maintenance check, the customer reported an issue where the powerchair was no longer taking a charge.

Our technicians carried out a full diagnostic inspection, thoroughly checking the powerchair's electronics, motor function, brake response, and battery health. While the powerchair itself was in sound operational condition, testing confirmed that the original charger was faulty and no longer supplying power.

Through the Motability Scheme, we requested authorisation to replace the faulty unit. Once approved, we supplied and verified a new charger, ensuring the batteries charged correctly before letting the customer know their powerchair was ready for collection.
