Quick-release steering ball fitted to a Nissan Qashqai at Heathrow

A Motability customer visited our Heathrow branch needing an easy-to-use steering aid fitted to their new hybrid Nissan Qashqai. To assist with one-handed steering, they required a solution that could be quickly attached or removed so other drivers could use the vehicle without obstruction.

Our qualified technicians supplied and installed an Alfred Bekker quick-release steering wheel ball. The quick-release mechanism allows the knob to be detached with a simple push button, leaving only a slim, unobtrusive bracket on the steering wheel rim when not in use. The position was adjusted precisely to ensure full steering lock, optimum leverage, and complete comfort during everyday driving.

After completing thorough safety checks and demonstrating the quick-release mechanism to the customer, the Qashqai was handed over ready for the road.
