Twin flip left foot accelerator fitted to a Volvo XC40 at Heathrow

A Motability customer visited our Heathrow branch requiring a familiar driving adaptation for their new automatic Volvo XC40. Having previously used a left-foot accelerator, the customer wanted the same setup installed to ensure a smooth transition to their new vehicle.

Our accredited technicians fitted a Jeff Gosling twin flip folding left-foot accelerator. This system allows the driver to operate the accelerator pedal using their left foot, while a fold-down guard safely covers the standard right-hand pedal to prevent accidental operation. When the vehicle is driven by someone else, the left-foot pedal easily flips up out of the way, restoring normal right-foot control in seconds.

After completing the installation, our team demonstrated the mechanism to ensure the customer felt completely comfortable with the controls before driving away. The adaptation provides a safe, reliable, and flexible driving solution tailored to the customer's needs.
