Autochair boot hoist fitted to a Skoda Kodiaq at Heathrow

A customer taking delivery of a new Skoda Kodiaq through the Motability scheme needed a practical solution to transport a Pride GoGo Sport boot scooter. A key requirement was keeping all rear passenger seats usable, so fitment was verified prior to installation to ensure the scooter loaded lengthwise in the luggage compartment without losing seating space.

Our technicians at the Heathrow branch installed an Autochair SmartLifter 80kg 4-way boot hoist complete with a custom mobility device lifting bracket. This powered hoist smoothly lifts and rotates the scooter into the boot using an easy-to-use handset, eliminating any heavy manual lifting.

Once the installation was complete, our team provided a thorough familiarisation demonstration, ensuring the customer felt fully confident operating the hoist and securing their scooter before driving away.
