Boot hoist fitted to a Kia Sportage at our Heathrow branch
We installed a boot hoist into a Kia Sportage at our Heathrow branch to help a Motability customer load a mobility scooter effortlessly.
A Motability customer contacted our Heathrow branch needing a practical solution to load and unload a small mobility scooter from the boot of their Kia Sportage. Lifting the scooter manually had become difficult, so a dedicated boot hoist was needed to make daily travel manageable.
Our installer fitted a modern boot hoist into the Sportage, carefully configuring the system to suit the boot space and the exact proportions of the customer's scooter. The powered hoist handles the heavy lifting, raising and stowing the scooter cleanly into the luggage area at the push of a button.
Once the fitting was completed, we carried out full operational checks and guided the customer through a hands-on familiarisation demonstration to ensure they felt confident using the controls.
