FreedomChair castor fork repair at our Heathrow branch
Our Heathrow team carried out a castor fork replacement on a damaged FreedomChair power wheelchair to get the customer moving safely again.
A customer contacted our Heathrow branch after their FreedomChair folding electric wheelchair sustained damage to the front wheel assembly. The chair was brought in to our workshop so our technicians could thoroughly assess the impact and identify the exact replacement parts required.
Upon inspection, we found that the castor fork was bent and needed replacing to ensure smooth steering and safe operation. We sourced an original FreedomChair replacement castor fork, removed the damaged component, and securely fitted the new assembly.
After completing full functional testing to confirm the power wheelchair was driving smoothly and safely, we arranged for prompt return to the customer. Having experienced technicians on site allows us to perform fast, reliable repairs on mobility equipment.
