Jammed boot hoist repaired at our Heathrow branch
Our technicians repaired a jammed boot hoist mechanism, freeing the stuck lifting cord to get the customer's scooter loader working again.

A customer visited our Heathrow workshop after experiencing an issue with their car boot hoist. While away on holiday, the lifting cord had over-retracted right up into the hoist arm, causing the winding mechanism to jam and preventing the hoist from moving up or down to lift their mobility scooter.
Our technicians examined the boot hoist in the workshop to diagnose the fault. We carefully dismantled the hoist casing, released the jammed lifting webbing from the internal motor spool, and checked the mechanism for any signs of wear or damage.
Once freed and reset, we reassembled the unit and carried out full load testing to ensure smooth raising and lowering. The boot hoist was fully restored to reliable working order, allowing the customer to safely load and unload their scooter once again.
