Mobility scooter armrest repair carried out at Ferndown
Our Ferndown workshop repaired a detached armrest on a Motability mobility scooter to get the customer safely back on the move.
A Motability scheme customer brought their mobility scooter into our Ferndown branch after an armrest had snapped off. A missing or unstable armrest can make steering difficult and significantly compromises daily comfort and support, so getting it repaired promptly was essential.
Our skilled workshop technicians thoroughly inspected the seat frame and mounting bracket to check for any structural fatigue. Finding the rest of the frame intact, we replaced the damaged armrest fitting with a new, robust replacement unit and secured all fixings to manufacturer specifications.
Following a complete safety check and inspection of the seating controls, the scooter was returned to the customer fully restored, safe, and ready to use.
