Mobility scooter steering repair and service in Ferndown
Full service and steering repairs, including new tracking rods and tyres, carried out on a mobility scooter at our Ferndown branch.
A customer brought their mobility scooter into our Ferndown workshop after noticing steering issues and suspected damage to the track rod end. To keep them mobile while their scooter was in our care, we provided a temporary loan scooter for the duration of the work.
Our technicians thoroughly inspected the steering assembly and confirmed that the steering rod and tracking rod needed replacing. During the assessment, we also noted significant wear on the front and rear wheels, as well as the rear chassis connector. We ordered the specific replacement parts directly from the manufacturer and fitted new hard-compound tyres alongside a complete steering overhaul and full routine service.
With the new tracking components and fresh wheels installed, the scooter was fully tested for safety, tracking, and smooth handling before being handed back to the customer.
