Powerchair battery replacement at our Heathrow workshop

A customer brought their Quickie Q300 M Mini powerchair into our Heathrow workshop after noticing a severe drop in usable range. The chair was cutting out when climbing kerbs or navigating mild slopes, and the battery charger was falsely indicating a complete charge after less than an hour.

Our technicians conducted a thorough diagnostic assessment and battery load test, which confirmed that both 50Ah batteries had failed internally and could no longer hold a charge under load. We fitted a fresh pair of high-quality replacement batteries, ensured all connections were secure, and checked the charging circuit.

After completing a full charge cycle and testing the chair on slopes outside the workshop, full power and range were restored. The powerchair was safely parked up and left ready for the customer to collect.
